Flowers monoecious, with flowers in groups of 3 (2 male, 1 female), small yellow and usually found down inside the foliage
Fruit purple to black, 1/2" to 3/4" long

Watering prefers regular, frequent watering; be sure soil drains well

Pruning remove dead fronds
Pests/Diseases spider mites in fall; this is a persistent problem
