Morphology:
Leaves large, oval leaves with prominent dark blotches and pronounced red veins on the upper surfaces; reddish or bronzy on undersides
Flowers intermittent blooms of small, white flowers – about 1/2" across; flower scapes may contain six or eight blooms
Fruit small fleshy capsule
 
Propagation:
stem cuttings – cut leaves in half
 
Usage:
single specimen for medium pots or hanging baskets; allow area for the plant to spread and tumble out of its pot; not recommended as a terrarium plant or small potted specimen
 
Landscape Care:
Watering likes regular watering during normal growth and flowering; this plant may have a resting period during which the leaves may die back – allow the plant to remain fairly dry through winter then begin water and fertilizer in spring
Fertilizing balanced 1/2 strength about once per month
Pruning cut back during winter months; allow to regrow in spring
